Jennifer VanBenschoten of Beading Daily decided to host the first ever Beading Daily Bead Along using Linda Richmond’s Net Full of Gems as the project. I was late reading the newsletter but decided to bite the bullet and try to finish in three days.
The pattern is netting with gem chips at the joins. The body of the necklace is worked first and then the ends decrease to the clasp. I made mine 22″ long to wear with collared shirts or turtlenecks for the fall and winter.
The seed beads are from a friend who got them for me on her trip to Africa. The gem chips are quartz. I’ve already had to repair this necklace. The quartz cut through my fireline!
