Lorelei’s Resin Bauble Slider Challenge and Blog Hop

Lorelei Eurto sent out a challenge, to anyone who wanted to participate, to use some resin bauble sliders in a project and blog about it today.

I was intrigued by the concept and headed to my local Michael’s to see if they had any. I was lucky enough to find some on sale!

I played with various configurations.

I liked some of them but realized that I would have a hard time actually making some of them come to life because of where the holes were on the back.

So, I decided to go structural and see what grew.

I love it! Just a few bits of wire and poof I had a pentagon shaped object. Thanks, Lorelei for the inventive challenge! Here’s a link to her blog where you can see what she came up with. http://lorelei1141.blogspot.com/2013/03/resin-bauble-slider-blog-hop-reveal.html

  1. I did the same exact thing! The end result of my necklace just morphed out of putting each piece together to the next! I love the way you made a 3D object from this. Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the day. Erin

  2. Oh WOW! How many of these did you buy?!?! You have some fabulous designs here for sure. I love that you worked structurally. What a lovely piece you ended up with. I picked the aquas too, aren’t they beautiful shades? Have a great day:)

  3. I love all of your configurations. Now, I’m wondering how to make some of those work. A few (or several) would be a showstopper of a necklace. I love that you made a 3d structure — just awesome.

  4. Oh, thank you so much for all those great structure pics! I didn’t purchase that many, so it’s great seeing all the different ways they can go together. I love the fact that you can see some of the lovely gold from back. Awesome job!!

  5. wow! I loved seeing all the different configurations- some I hadn’t even though of ! Great job making a more structural piece! In a way it reminded me at first glance of maybe a large bangle bracelet. Thanks so much for playing along in the challenge!
